Large Film Line with Extrusion, Casting, Oven Stretching, Slitting, and Winding

This project was an upgrade of an existing large film line where a new control and drive system were implemented into the existing control panels. Project was implemented to improve reliability for the customer and eliminate obsolescence issues. Two new Siemens 1500F safety processors with an assortment of different Siemens drives (S120, G120, 6RA80) were used. Project encompassed automation and equipment spread out over three different levels of the building, extending for a length of more than 600 feet, and included more than 1000 IO points. M.R. Snyder Company provided a turn-key project for all electrical aspects including demolition, installation, IO checkout, drive commissioning and startup.
